Easter!

Easter was pretty low key for us this year. Some of the families from church and I took the kiddos to the park for an easter egg hunt they were having there. Reid was a little grumpy, but I think he had fun. For Easter dinner our lovely neighbors came upstairs and brought apricot glazed ham and yummy dessert. I made garlic mashed potatoes, spicy green beans, and rolls. Then we went to some other friend's place for homemade ice cream. I still missed being around family for the holiday, but it was so much fun to spend time with good friends who were also missing family!

At the Easter egg hunt

Reid and his good buddy, Grant.

What a good sharer!

The Easter bunny was too popular for us to get near, but we could stand NEXT to the Easter chipmunk.

Hey, have you guys moved away or are you still in the area?
By the way very cute pictures, we had the same problem the Easter bunny was being mobbed and there was no Easter chipmunk in sight!!!

The Easter Chipmunk sounds cooler than the regular old Easter Bunny! :) Looks like fun and your dinner sounds delicious!

Looks like you guys had a good time. I love being able to spend time on holidays (when we aren't with family) with our friends. You look so cute next to the Easter Chipmunk!

How fun, I am sure holidays are so much more fun with kids who can participate. You look great, I still look like I rolled out of hibernation everyday. I am hoping that will change soon! hahaha. happy spring, even though it's snowing here :(

Carlee, Love the easter chipmunk, no doubt a mainstay in more urban easter celebrations. I found this article that I thought you would like and I don't have your email so I'll post the link here:

Gosh, I'm sad we couldn't make it to the Easter fun day...and I can't even remember why we didn't make it. :o) I really like your blog. Yours is the kind I aspire to. I really need to get with it. :o)

So I was spying on the internet through various blogs from friends during college and I came across yours. Upon further investigation I discovered that you guys are living thirty minutes away from me! I'm in Salt Lake about two blocks from the Salt Lake temple. We should really get together, I would love to catch up and meet Reid.

You can email me tamarschmidt@yahoo.com
