For my birthday Nate got us tickets to see Brian Regan! He is one of our favorites, and we were so excited to go. Sadly, Reid, Link and I got PINK EYE!!!, (I am still feeling under the weather by the way) and because it's so contagious we didn't want to leave the kiddos with anyone, so Nate took one for the team and stayed home with the kiddos while I went to the show with my great friend Maci. But wait, didn't I have PINK EYE!? Yes. Bwahahahaha! Pink eye for ALL Brian Regan fans! Actually, Maci seemed willing to take the risk, I brought lots of hand sanitizer, and I didn't touch anything. And it's my Birthday people! I had been looking forward to this since January! He was hilarious, and it was so fun to catch up with a great friend! Also, for those of you who have NOT experienced Brian Regan, or would like a hilarious refresher, here are a couple of links:

(Hey, I did it! I found the "link" button! Ar you proud of me?!)
Here's what we did today (besides wiping our noses!):

Reid and I had a mommy-son date! Three of our friends and their sons and Reid and I all went to see "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie" at the Scera theater in Orem. The play was super cute, but Reid kept saying that it was sad. I'm not sure why exactly. It was the perfect way to spend my birthday. I love plays so much more than movies, and the best part was watching all of the boys' faces!

Sooooo excited!
So, all in all it was an OK birthday. I absolutely HATE being sick, but my sweet hubby took care of all of us without managing to get sick himself, and we are planning on doing something just Nate and I next weekend, so all is not lost.

I am glad you managed to have fun despite being so sick. I did not think pink eye could get that bad. I am really sorry. But I am glad we got to spend part of your birthday with you. We had a great time as well. Happy 26.
I'm just so VERY sad that I couldn't spend your 26th with you and the boys=( I love you!
Happy Birthday Carlee! I'm glad you were able to get out and have some fun!
April
yay! thanks for such a fun time carlee! you were a lovely date--thanks for inviting me:)
I love Brian Reagan! Mike and I quote the "Say 8! Say 8!" part to each other all the time. Glad you still got to go see the show.
I was going to respond to your comment on my blog, but I didn't know if you would see it, so I'll do it here. I'm sorry you were sick, but in some twisted way, I'm glad you gained appreciation for us anosmics of the world. Not that I really know what I'm missing anyway. I wish it meant that I wasn't interested in eating much... not so. But I'm glad you did say that you could still sense the sweet, salty, etc. It kind of bugs me when people say that they can't taste anything at all when they're sick. I find it hard to believe. You still have taste buds when you're sick. Anywho, I'll be a very interesting person in the resurrection anyway, because I'll just be running around sniffing everything and going, "THAT'S what that really tastes like?!" (I assume we'll still be able to eat. I hope so.)
So that was a really long way of saying thanks for your comment. :)
We're glad that you had such a great birthday (despite being sick)! Thanks for sharing the Brian Regan links - Greg and I stayed up watching him on YouTube the other night and he's hilarious!
