So, I put my pictures in backward again. You will have to read the next few posts to figure out what is going on. When will I get this right?! Anyway, my mommy took us out to dinner one night at Alculpoco's and then went went shopping (as usual) for some Reidster clothes (as usual) and she spoiled him like crazy! ( as usual). Then on Sunday we spent the evening with her and she drove us to the airport Monday morning. Thanks for all of the fun, Nana!

Fun With Nana
So, I put my pictures in backward again. You will have to read the next few posts to figure out what is going on. When will I get this right?! T-Town Part II. Word.
These are the pictures I took with my camera. My dad and Grandpa took Reid and I to the zoo, which was a really good time. Reid loved all of the animals. My dad is so great with him, they just have such a good time together. Although, I think we need to get my dad a shirt that says "Grandpa" because when he and I go places together with Reid I get some strange looks. My dad thinks it's all in my head, but he's just such a great grandpa that I think some people mistake him for the dad. Yikes!
Reid couldn't get enough of the Beluga whales. He kept saying "Bruga! Bruga!" It was so cute. Also, one thing I love about the Point Defiance Zoo is that you can look at most of the animals from above their tanks/cages or below, so Reid got a view from the outside as well as the behind-the-glass view. (As a side note, I went to a friend's birthday party at this zoo when I was a kid, and they let us feed these Belugas, and it closed its mouth around my hand and started to pull. Not hard or anything, but I still almost peed my pants!)

We got there just in time for the bird show, which was a little cheesy, but entertaining enough for Reid to sit through most of it.
This is the tiger display. They were pretty far away, so I didn't bother to take a picture of them, but Reid thought they were pretty neat.

So, as I mentioned earlier, Reid and I went home to visit my side of the fam., and we had a blast. Let me just say that I loved the weather oh-so-much. It was in the sixties and seventies which is a nice reprieve from the 90's and 100's here in the furnace. It was so great to see my family. I just love them. As a side note, my dad bought this SUPER nice professional camera two years ago, and left it in the box until I got my hands on it this past week, and these are the pictures I took with it. I spent the week putting the camera together, reading the instructions, and taking practice pictures. I'm not very good, but now that it's assembled it means that my dad HAS to use it, and possibly take a class or two about basic photography. (Now that I have published this on the internet, dad you have to do it, OK?)
We went to the U.P. festival, and Reid had the time of his life on the bouncy thingies (don't know what their official title is...). Seriously, he laughed and jumped for over an hour. He couldn't get enough!
You have to enlarge this picture because Reid is cracking up (and slightly airborne)! I thought this slide might be a little steep for him, but he wanted to go down it about a million times!
I got to spend one afternoon with my sister, Icel and her three kids; Hannah, Logan and Lauren. It was so nice to spend time with her and her family. Her kids are so stinkin' cute. I really wish we lived closer. Here she is with Lauren.
Hannah was having a great time pushing Reid. He looks like he's upset here, but really he's laughing.
Reid laughing at Papa in the bouncy castle. I'm not sure how this one made it to the end, but you know me and my lame-o blogging skills.
Nate's Parents Come for a Visit....
So, even though Nate's birthday was a little bit ago one of his presents was a fabulous visit from his parents that he had NO IDEA about. It was awesome. It was such a busy week though! We had our good friends the Walkers visiting from Colorado, and in the middle of dinner with them Nate's parents came to the door. It was such a wonderful surprise for Nate, but it was sooo hard to keep it from him! The the next day we went the water park with the Jensens who also happened to be in town. It was so great to see so many friends from the 'ham, and of course we always love spending time with Nate's parents. They are wonderful!
One night we went to dinner with Nate's cousin and her family. I had never met them before, but they live in Ogden and have a boat, so they are our new best friends. They are actually really nice people, and invited us to come up any time.
Here is Nate's cousin Karlene, her husband, three of her kids, Nate's parents, and of course Nate and Reid.
I decided that I missed my family too, so Reid and I hitched a ride home with Nate's parents. It's a 16 hour drive, so I was really worried about how Reid would do, but he was a champ! I was so proud of him!

Camping Fun!
This weekend we went camping with the Carneys, and it was one of the most fabulous camp sites I have ever been to! We stayed right next to the river, but there were almost no mosquitoes at all! We went for a beautiful hike up to some hot springs where we swam, played, and met a really creepy skinny dipper. Yikes. Also, I can never seem to get my pictures in the order that I want them, once again they are completely random.
Reid did not want to hold my hand. He wanted me to just let him swim around in the river by himself. Sorry, Reid not today!

Dad and Reid by the falls. I just need to document here that Jess and I were the first ones to go under the falls because the boys are wimpy about cold water. Ha.

30 Things You May or May Not Know About Nate...
In honor of Nate's 30th birthday I decided to make a lovely little list documenting 30 things you may or may not know...
30. He's not a very sweaty guy. He never gets B.O., and generally smells pretty good
29. On the other hand, he has really stinky gas, and can clear a room in seconds.
28. He's been in a lot of accidents (car motorcycle, boat etc. ) one of the worst was when he was fixing up an old motorcycle and ended up crashing it into the garage door. Ouchie.
27. Along with accidents, he has knocked himself out with a metal baseball bat.
26. He served an LDS mission in Cleveland, OH.
25. He is a Canadian citizen, and was born in Ontario.
24. He is really handy, and can make or fix almost anything (I think engineering will be a great fit for him!)
23. He is more crafty than I am, and can out-do me in almost any homemaking skill. (sad, I know)
22. He hates mayonaise or anything that looks like it: Miracle Whip, ranch dressing, cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream...the list goes on.
21. He ran cross country in high school, and is actually a really great distance runner when he wants to be. He ran 7 miles everyday while we were dating/engaged.
20. he has really nice feet and legs. I always say I want our girls to have his legs!
19. He is more emotional/compassionate than me. He cries way more in movies (like he cried in "Hook" the other day) I guess I am not much of a crier.
18. He is really calm in disaster situations, and never seems to lose his cool.
17. He has a real sugar addiction with all of the hallmarks of every other kind of addiction except with candy.
16. He doesn't really care for video games or computer games. Lucky me!
15. He's kind of competitive, and can be a really bad loser sometimes (sorry, Nate!).
14. He'll wear just about anything I buy for him, but he's really picky about jeans.
13. He loves kids, and wants to have WAY more than I do.
12. We weighed the same when I was 9 months pregnant.
11. He is great at math and science, and he's actually a great writer too!
10. He can't grow a beard, but he CAN grow a creepy pedophile mustache.
9. He has nice skin.
8. He has the exact same sense of humor as me, and that's hard to find.
7. He got beat up by a boat motor at scout camp.
6. He hated high school.
5. There are seven kids in his family, he is #5.
4. He is a bit of a homebody, so I have to drag him to do adventurous things, but once he's there he loves it.
3. He loves to swim, but he's terrified of deep water.
3. He never wears a watch
2. He is a perfectionist in every way.
1. He is the greatest husband and father, and I love him so much! Happy birthday Naters!

Happy 30th Birthday Nate!
Nate took Wednesday off so we could celebrate the big 3-0! It was great! I made him a big breakfast, we went to the zoo in SLC, and then our downstairs neighbor made him his very own funfetti ice cream cake! It was perfect. Then Jess watched Reid while we went and saw a movie. Thanks Jess!
OK, so at the zoo they have this really rare albino alligator. I guess it would die in the wild from sunburn. It was so crazy!

Jack was such a little beggar! He would give you these big puppy dog eyes until you fed him. It was hilarious!
