What did he say?
Reid has been saying the funniest things as of late, and I keep meaning to write them down. I thought my blog would be as good of a place as any, so here is a little snippet of what comes out of that crazy boy's mouth:
The other day I put on a long sleeve purple shirt, and he said, "mom, are you a wiggle?" For those of you who are NOT familiar, (you're missing out) see above photo.
I can see the resemblance, can't you?
Also, the other day Reid was talking to himself, and this is how the conversation went:
ME: "Who are you talking to?"
REID: "The ghost"
ME: "what did he say?"
REID: "he's hungry"
ME: "for what?" (not human flesh I hope...)
REID: "yogurt"
ME: "oh, well that's good because we have that..."
REID: "yea, he also wants me to get off the stairs because he lives on the stairs"
I have to say I'm a little creeped out by this one. I'm hoping it's because we rented some Halloween books from the library, and we spent the other afternoon making sugar cookies in the shape of ghosts...I'm really hoping my house is not haunted. Yikes.
And finally, in the car today Reid announced to me:
"mom, when I'm nineteen I'm going to go on a mission, and I have to go by myself, and you're going to stay here, and you're going to cry."
Yes, I will cry or sure. I can't even imagine my little boy growing up...

Halloween Fun!
This Halloween Link went as a hot dog, (get it? Link, hot dog...nevermind) and I decided to make Reid a hot dog vendor costume. That's right people, I sewed that apron and put together his little accessories. I am learning how to be crafty! I thought it turned out cute! This picture is from the trunk-or-treat at the church. This couple had a hot dog theme too, so we just had to snap a pic with them. Also, don't you love how both of my kids are looking at the dogs and not at the camera?
I decided to get all Anne Geddes with Link. I call this "baby hot dog with wild pumpkins." Artistic? Yes.
It was a beautiful night, and not too cold. It's nights like this that I really love living in Utah...did I just say that?
Friday we went to the pumpkin patch with two of my gals from our last ward.I LOVE this shot of Becca, Reid, and her sweet little guy Jonathon...so cute!
I decided to go ahead and put Link in his costume that day because not only is it super warm, (it was snowing that day if you can believe it) but he got to wear his costume twice! (three times actually because we crashed our old ward's Halloween bash that night. Woot.)Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Let's be honest...
Thanks for all of your awesome comments! It makes my day to know that people still care! Anyway, I was chatting with my great friend Amber T., and we were talking about how sometimes we feel like blogging can become a competition. Not really intentionally, but I think we sometimes make our lives out to be prefect--especially when we only post pieces of what has been going on. After that I decided that I wouldn't blog anymore because I didn't want anyone to get the impression that things are always perfect here at the Tuletts! After that decision I felt bad for not keeping up with friends and family through blogging, so instead I decided to post both the fun and the not-so-fun. This may not make sense to anyone, but I really want to be more realistic and honest in my journaling, because let's face it, life can be hard!!!Fun thing: Reid and Link are so cute together. Link doesn't really laugh out loud much, and the only person that can really get a belly laugh out of him is his big bro. So, if we are driving somewhere, and Link starts to get fussy I just tell Reid to make him laugh, and all is well!
Not-so-fun: Link doesn't sleep. At all. I have tried all of the tricks, (babywise can kiss my sleepless behind) but this kid wants me every 2-3 hours. I love him to death, but at 2am I am rethinking the number of kids I want. Reid has also decided to get up at 4 everyday, so one of us usually goes and sleeps on his floor until he settles down. Needless to say, I still feel like I have a newborn, and it doesn't help that everyone I talk to brags about how their baby slept through the night at one week. It's usually the first thing they say when I tell them Link's not a great sleeper. It's so helpful I could scream.
There you go! The good, the bad and the ugly!

We're Back!
After a long vacation from blogging we are finally back. I kind of decided I didn't want to blog anymore, so I just thought I would let it go, but then I realized how much I enjoy reading all of your blogs that I thought there might be some people out there that enjoy seeing what we're up to as well. I'm not going to go into all we have done in the last few months, but here is a little snippet, and then I'll start posting recent stuff.
Reid and his favorite cousin, Audrey got to hang out this summer, and I think this is the CUTEST PICTURE EVER (that's why I'm shouting in all caps).
We went home to Washington this summer, and took the ferry to Friday Harbor. It's so beautiful there. I miss it so much sometimes!

My little Linkers is 6 months old now, and he is tiny. He's only in the 9th percentile for both height and weight. He looks like Reid did at 3 months. He sure is a sweetheart though. Love this guy!
Katrina came back and brought Cheryse for a visit as well. This was our second trip to the Hogle Zoo this summer!
We also had our great friends the Meynders stop by for a fun visit. Don't mind how terrible I look in this picture, I hadn't showered yet that day. (Yikes!)
Mr. Reidster is getting big so fast. He'll be three next month, and he's talking like he's all grown up. One of these days I'm going to need to start writing down some of the hilarious things he says...just look at that sass he's giving me!
