My friend Jessica and I ran the Provo half-marathon on Saturday. It was a really good time, but I found this course to be a little bit more difficult than the Salt Lake half. There was a forest fire near the trail we were supposed to run on, so they had to re-rout it. The hard part about the new course was they had us run a couple of loops around the finish line before we actually finished. So the last three miles were pretty rough because we could hear and even SEE the finish line, but we weren't done. In other eventful news Jessica totally passed out face first around mile five. It was scary, but she got right back up and kept running! Our time was actually about the same as my first half marathon, and I was happy about it because of the circumstances. It was so much fun, and we are seriously considering running in the Spanish Fork half in September!

You are impressive Car!How is your
testing going for B.Y.U.?
Hi Carlee thanks for being my daughters running companion, I would worry if she were running on her own. Talking of worry I did not know she blacked out until I read about it on her blog and had it confirmed on your blog!
She said she didn't want to worry me, she has probably told you i am the biggest worrier. I have told her I think she should get it checked out with doctor, but she is fobbing me off, maybe you can talk some sense into her.
Anyway maybe I will get to meet you when I come over in October, thanks again for being a good friend to Jess, she talks alot about you and your family.
