2 Weeks Until.....

1. My fingers won't look like sausages

2. I will have at least SOME pants that fit

3. I can sleep on my tummy...kind of. Sleeping on your tummy after a c-section is kind of a process.

4. I will be getting little to no sleep

5. I will be all hopped up on fancy pain meds.

6. I will think I am "chunky" instead of ridiculously enormous.

7. My family will be here!

8. Poor little Reidster will have a dramatic life change, and will probably let me know his displeasure for the first little while!

9. I will once again feel the feeling of panic that an inconsolable newborn brings.

10. I will probably have more than one breakdown about breastfeeding.

11. I will be reminded of what an amazing father my husband is.

12. I will find out if this baby does indeed have an enormous nose as all of my ultrasounds have indicated.

13. I will revel in my ickiness as my grooming routine goes out the window.

14. Someone somewhere will inevitably tell me a horrific story about SIDS that will keep me up even while the baby is asleep.

15. I will remember why I said I would never do this again and then forget it almost as quickly as I remembered.

16. My new-found flexibility will sadly go away. Seriously, I am so flexible right now it's ridiculous! Now, if my big belly weren't in the way I'm sure I could touch my toes. (news flash: for me, that's flexibility, baby)

17. I won't look at myself in the mirror without clothes on for a VERY long time. (Not that I spend a lot of time doing this now...or ever, but you catch my drift. I hope.)

18. I will be angry with/discriminate against anyone that tries to get near me who also happens to be sick. Oh yes, I will.

19. I will come to my senses about my "exercise goals" that I have currently set for myself post-delivery. Good thing my awesome double jogger is all set up and raring to go in the garage. I will be out there hoofin' it just a couple of weeks after delivery. Or not. At all.

20. I will get to meet/hold/snuggle/feed/kiss etc. etc. my new little boy. I am so excited to welcome him into the family!

Two weeks and counting!!!

P.S. I went into the doctor for another ultrasound on Mon. and he estimated this little guy's weight at 7 1/2 pounds. So, since they are supposed to gain a pound a week in the last month I will let you do the math. (my c-section is scheduled for a week prior to my due date.)

So fun....I can't believe it is already almost here!
PS. Your toddler doesn't always have a negative reaction to a new baby, so maybe you'll get lucky and Reid will be fine or just have a minor case of jealousy at the most.
Hope all goes well.
Can't wait to see pictures.
Miss you!

Ack! I can't believe you're almost done, Carly!

And yes...me. Pink. Ick. I totally can rock it but I still HATE doing it! If you notice it's not like cotton candy pink. I comfort myself by knowing I own nothing actually really and truly PINK...just shades of pink. Like that rose color...I can almsot handle it. almost. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone!

Good luck this week. You are so funny, I remember why it was so fun to hang out with you. You are so good at explaining exactly how you feel...and everyone else who has ever been pregnant. I might be in town this weekend, I would have liked to stop by, but I can see you will have MUCH more important things going on. Congratulations. Laurie
