Easter!
Easter was pretty low key for us this year. Some of the families from church and I took the kiddos to the park for an easter egg hunt they were having there. Reid was a little grumpy, but I think he had fun. For Easter dinner our lovely neighbors came upstairs and brought apricot glazed ham and yummy dessert. I made garlic mashed potatoes, spicy green beans, and rolls. Then we went to some other friend's place for homemade ice cream. I still missed being around family for the holiday, but it was so much fun to spend time with good friends who were also missing family!

Birthday Fun!
So we have had some grand birthday fun this past week! I accidentally put the pictures in the wrong order, so you will have to see them backwards. Silly me. Firstly, we went to Reid's good buddy, Grant's first birthday party. What fun! I just love seeing Reid interact with other kids! The Friday before my birthday I got my hair cut and went to my friend Jessica's dance recital. It was so much fun to see her in action! Then for my birthday I woke up to a decorated living room including but not limited to: streamers, balloons, personalized scrabble, silly string, and my favorite cookies with the nutrition facts taken off so I wouldn't feel bad about eating EVERY SING ONE OF THEM. Then our ward had a Saint Patrick's day party where we ate green pancakes and Lucky Charms for breakfast. After that I ran 10 miles for my training and almost died (birthdays are no excuse to be a slacker). Then our lovely friends the Jarvis's watched Reid while Nate and I went to P. F. Chang's for dinner (YUM) and then we saw Horton Hears a Who-which I loved. So all in all it was a pretty fabulous birthday week!
Nate was really embarrassed about the fact that I asked the server to take our picture. Sometimes I think I am turning into my mom-she takes pictures of everything.
I just love it when Nate and Reid play. Although Reid is really getting into roughhousing, which makes me nervous. This particular wrestling session ended with Reid smashing his face into the heater vent. Ouchie.
Our little green family. Notice that Reid still has his chocolate coin. He wasn't real big into letting it go. Like father like son I guess.
Grant's birthday! My favorite thing about this picture is that NO ONE is looking at the camera. It's a miracle that we got them all to stand next to each other long enough to snap a photo.

I Forgot How FAT He Was...
I was looking through some of our old pictures on our computer, and I stumbled across this. I really forgot how fat Reid's cheeks were. People always told me he was a chubby baby but I thought he was pretty average. Not so! Look at those cheeks! Who could possibly object? Anyway, I just LOVE this video. Reid is about four months old here sitting with Grandma Tulett. I also forgot how cute his laugh was (it still is, but it has changed). I still can't believe the size of his cheeks! Isn't he just the cutest?!

Fun Facts With Reid Tulett
FACT #1: Reid still loves bath time, and is an expert at soaking me and the bathroom floor.FACT #2: Reid has an exciting new vocabulary amongst all of his jibber jabber. He can now say the following words, and he seems to know what they mean: Mama, Dada, Grandpa, car, (his favorite) cold, bite, apple, helper, (he says it when he helps me put his toys away...so cute!) shoe, achoo, Jack, (The little boy that I watch) up, hi, (he says this one a lot) ball, (his favorite toy) Coco, (the name of the character in his favorite book) and here's what makes him a TRUE Tulett...he loves the word "poop." That's right, the other day he smelled pretty bad and I said, "Reid, did you poop?" and he said, "poop?" and it's all over now.
FACT #3: I am slowly but surely getting him off of his binki. I have gotten him down to using it only when he sleeps...horray!
FACT#4: He's cute as can be, and I feel so lucky that I get to pal around with him all day!

Longest Run Ever...
So I finished my 15K yesterday, and it went really well. I ran just over a 10 minute mile (which is pretty slow), but not too bad for 9.3 miles. The exciting thing is that I finished...yay. And the other exciting thing is that I feel pretty prepared for the half marathon, so that's a good sign. I didn't take the Reidster this time because it was supposed to snow, and that's a long way to push him! Nate has been so wonderful during all of my running. He has been more than willing to keep an eye on Reid during my long runs, and has encouraged me the whole way. What a good hubby!

Head for the Hills!
So, our lovely friends Ben and Jessica invited us to go on a drive into the mountains with them and another couple today. It was so much fun! We saw deer, Turkey, and Elk, and the snow was SUPER deep. Nate and I had a race across about 4 feet of snow. It was hilarious because we were trying to run, but we kept sinking in up to our knees. Also, it was great because I won like the running champ that I am =)
Here is Reid and Jack getting bundled up to go. SIDE NOTE: Nate hates Reid's hat, but I love it. OTHER SIDE NOTE: Reid is wearing the Huskies jacket Grandpa Lilley got him for Christmas. That is why he is in purple. Horray for The Huskies!
Mommy & Reid. SIDE NOTE: Reid's gloves were in the wash, so....yes. He is wearing socks on his hands.
Reid trying to walk on top of 4 feet of snow. Luckily he was light enough that he didn't sink in. He still had a couple of face plants though!
