Well, I have quite a bit to update here. I feel like my blog has kind of been like laundry. If I do a little bit everyday it's not so bad, but I like to wait until it piles up and then I'm spending hours and hours all due to my carefully honed procrastination skills. Anyway, here is a flash flood of Tulett news:
POTTY TRAINING: check. Yes, I really think I can check this one off. Reid can now take his pants and undies off by himself and go pee all by himself. He often stays dry during his naps, and will even stay dry overnight every once in a while (but he will usually wake up in the middle of the night asking to go potty if he does this). Pooping is a little bit of a challenge because he will do like 10 little poops before he does a real one, so on poop days (every three days or so) we spend a lot of time getting on and off the potty. He does great though, he will read or sing while he's pooping, and he's really proud of himself when he is done. I am such a proud mommy. Now I am just praying that he won't regress when the new little one gets here ( I have heard stories...).
BABY UPDATE: I went in to the doctor at 30 weeks and he did an ultrasound to see how big the baby is, (I had a c-section with Reid because he was big and I am small) and he was already 5 pounds! At 30 weeks! How do I make such monstrosities?! Anyway, the doc. said he would most likely be about 10-11 pounds at full term if he kept growing at that rate (Reid was 8 lbs 7oz 2 weeks early, so 10-11 pounds just will not work). So, we scheduled another c-section for the 23rd of April. Earth day! I really wanted to do a VBAC, but it was sadly not in the cards for me. Anyway, that's when he will be here unless I go into labor early! (yea, right)
TUMBLING CLASS: I signed Reid up for this awesome tumbling class 2 days a week. He loves it, and Nate hates it because they do ribbon dancing to Disney songs, and that's Reid's favorite part. He runs around giggling and twirling his ribbon like a total girl. I love it!

Here he is with the instructor, Kirsten helping him do a flip.
FUNNY STORY: So, Reid totally has a crush on this little 3 year old girl from class, (older woman!) and he and this little girl and another little girl climbed into this box together, and the instructor said; "hey, that's pretty good odds for Reid, two girls and one boy," and this little girl that he followed everywhere said; "yea, but I can see boogers in his nose." Poor little guy. Shot down on his first try!
MY BIRTHDAY: So, I had an awesome birthday weekend, (the 15th was my actual birthday) we all went to the zoo on Saturday and had lots of fun.

Dad and Reid on the train ride.

Reid trying to be like the giraffes.

I love this picture. Elephants are amazing animals!

Then that night I wanted to do something different for a fun date, so we went and painted pottery and then saw an excellent play at BYU. I am NOT going to post the after pictures of our pottery because they turned out TERRIBLE. I am not being modest here. We are not an artistic family. At all. (Don't mind my pregnant lady puffy face)
Then on Sunday we had our niece, Katrina over for dinner because her b-day was the day before mine. I made her a special dinner, and my lovely friend Jen made me a special dinner and we all partied and carried on.
Wow, you're still here? Well, then I will finish with a fun little list like I did for Nate's birthday last year. In honor of my 25th birthday I have come up with 25 fun facts that you may or may not know about me. Here we go:
25 Things You May or May Not Know About Carlee
1. I don't like romances. Novels, movies etc. I cannot handle sappiness. So, no I have not seen or read Twilight, and I do not intend to. Blech.
2. I have a highly sensitive nose. Nate thinks he can fart in the basement while I am upstairs and get away with it, but he is wrong.
3. At the elementary school I went to (The Montessori School of Tacoma) they had a contest to see which student could come up with the best new logo for the school, and I won! To this day it is still on their sign in front of the school, and on school sweatshirts etc. (Ironic because I am a terrible artist.)
4. I cannot stand made-up words that are passed off as real ones. Many people know that my biggest pet-peeve is when people say "irregardless" It's NOT a word!!! It makes no sense. I get angry just thinking about it. Where did our school system fail us so miserably?
5. I throw up through my nose. Gross, I know, but I can't help it. It takes me 30 seconds to empty my stomach, but a half an hour to get the "chunks" out of my sinuses. Yuck. Makes morning sickness a good time.
6. On that gross note, I can regurgitate on command. Is it not a miracle that I ever got married?
7. I can stick my entire fist in my mouth.
8. Instead of "March Madness" I get "World Cup Fever" really, really bad. Nate will attest that I am crazed. I could go on and on about every world cup since 1998.
9. I went to the state track and field competition 4 years in a row in high school for the 100 and 200M dash. My Sophomore year we got 3rd in the 4X100M relay. Good times.
10. My favorite author is Herman Mellville.
11. I was two classes away from minoring in astronomy in college. I could not quite make it through the physics without tanking my GPA. I still love astronomy though (NOT astrology. They are so, so different).
12. Speaking of space, I have never seen Star Wars. Any of them.
13. I have really small feet, and sometimes buy shoes from the kids department.
14. I was a vegetarian for two years, and often consider going back.
15. I cannot STAND the feeling of cotton balls. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.
16. My favorite animals are Alpacas. (kind of like llamas, but better)
17. I was a phlebotomist for 2 years, (blood draws) and I realized it takes a lot to gross me out. I am actually quite fascinated with the human body.
18. On that note, I think I am going to ask to see my placenta after this delivery. I have never seen one, and I would really like to.
19. I don't like candy or soda at all really, and I am really picky about other sweets too. While I CAN eat an entire pan of brownies, I never even have a desire to get anything at the concession stand at the movies.
20. I really only drink water. I will have juice every now and then, but it's 99% water for me!
21. I love almost every vegetable raw, but have only come to enjoy a few cooked. I just feel like vegetables are meant to be cold. Is that so wrong?
22. I graduated from college in three years, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Kind of a braggy one I guess, but I worked REALLY hard for it, and since I won't be writing any resumes soon, I am going to brag on my blog.
23. On a non-braggy note, I almost flunked my journalism class. As it turns out there is a lot more to journalism than being a good writer.
24. I once accidentally got the end of my glasses stuck in my ear and almost caused myself to go deaf in that ear. Not graceful.
25. I love, love, love being an at-home mom, and am so excited to meet my new little family member. I feel so blessed!
Fin.
